This blog was created by staff from WaterAid in Nepal for the country’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) sector, but it is not our official blog. You can see our website at

We encourage debate and openness in the hope of finding new ways to see WaSH issues and improve our collective work in the sector. As such, none of the views expressed here reflect WaterAid’s official position and should not be taken as such. When and if in doubt, please call Anita Pradhan at WaterAid in Nepal at 0097715552764 or email her at

This blog has three purposes.

  1. The first is to share Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) related news and views.
  2. The second is to learn from one another by getting conversations going on various aspects of WaSH issues as they pertain to Nepal (and beyond).
  3. The third is to play with new ideas, thoughts, angles, approaches and new ways of looking at WaSH issues so that the collective work on WaSH sector could be made better.

We hope that you will take Nepal WaSH blog as a tool to enhance sector knowledge, and take part by adding your contributions and comments.

Please tell your colleagues and friends about this blog.
